Information for Parents with Children in Faith Formation

Family Room

St. Luke’s Roman Catholic Church welcomes all families to our Faith Formation Program.  We have sessions on Monday evenings for all youth from Pre-K thru 11th grade.  This allows the opportunity for parents to come out one evening per week with all youth.

In addition to faith formation for our youth, we also have Adult Faith Formation.  December 6th will be our Advent Session!  January 10th will start our 10 week Adult Faith Formation Series!  Topics will include, but are not limited to “Everything you wanted to know about being Catholic, but were a too afraid to ask”’, etc.

Prayer Services: Through out the year, we will offer Prayer Services for families.  These will be held on Monday evenings in place of classes.  Families are encouraged to participate together for our prayer services.

Our Thanksgiving Prayer Service will take place on Monday, November 22nd, 6:30pm at St. Luke’s Church. Please bring a canned good for our food pantry.  Items will support our Christmas basket distribution which feeds over 300 families for Christmas.  Items needed include: canned corn, canned green beans, canned carrots,  canned fruit cocktail, instant mashed potatoes (plain or buttered)  soup – tomato or chicken noodle, cereal, jelly, tuna and macaroni and cheese!

Parents of youth with Special Needs are encouraged to contact the Faith Formation Office. If you child needs an aide in the classroom, we will provide you with one. St. Luke's welcomes all children and will provide a safe, welcoming environment for all.

Volunteer opportunities:  Youth will be asked to participate in volunteering activities such as: greeters, participating in Church functions, helping with  food pantry, serving food at City Mission, Bethesda House and Salvation Army,  Please support your children with participating in service projects.  Keep an eye out for our monthly newsletters.  Volunteer information will be listed on the newsletters!

Would you like to volunteer? Catechists, and hall monitors are needed for our Faith Formation Program! If your heart is calling you to teach, now is the time to start. New catechists will gain experience by working side-by side with our seasoned catechists.
